  • Job Description

    Responsible for designing and delivering curriculum, instruction, and related learning resources to meet defined training outcomes, with an alignment to UAS’s goals and key initiatives. Advocating for the learner, the Corporate Trainer develops internal talent, facilitates change adoption, and supports employees in their ability to provide superior patient care and maintain strong provider relationships.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Facilitates dynamic, performance-based instructor-led classroom training and virtual instructor-led training for key functional groups.
    2. Conducts and administers training program evaluations and exams, determining the eligibility and competency of learners.
    3. Observes employee performance and provides in-depth feedback and on-demand coaching to support knowledge and skill application based on individualized learner need.
    4. Constructs training curriculum, evaluations, and learning resources using the best mediums to match subject matter and training objectives while applying appropriate learning principles, design techniques, and use of media.
    5. Maintains accurate training record-keeping of individual employees, ensuring that all training solutions are documented, up-to-date and linked to the learning management system.
    6. Partners with leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training content addresses learning needs and gaps while maintaining the highest level of safety.
    7. Functional knowledge of all protocol and procedures to enhance training specifications and objectives that align with assigned areas and subject matter of clinical protocol, quality assurance and compliance.
    8. Utilizes e-learning authoring tools to create vibrant asynchronous training programs.
    9. Serves as a Train-the-Trainer instructor to ensure consistent content delivery for field employees.
    10. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. 

    Requirements

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor’s degree or five (5) to seven (7) years of equivalent work experience.

     

    BACKGROUND & EXPERTISE:

    (3) years’ experience in a classroom training environment; Ability to meet competing deadlines and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced learning environment; Ability to be thorough, practicable and consistent with solutions that meet organization objectives and clinical protocol, Experience in multi-media, e-learning, distance learning tools and design methods; adult learning principles (ADDIE and SAM)

     

    APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE:

    Working knowledge of a clinical and/or healthcare environment; Demonstrated experience applying a variety of learning strategies and models for adult learners, including microlearning, blended learning, application of learning technologies and approaches to instructional and curriculum design methodologies

     

    COMPUTER LITERACY:

    Intermediate to advanced level competence with MS Office and SharePoint, Proficiency in e-learning authoring software such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate, Proficiency in WebEx, Go-To-Meeting and other web-based communication tools that enable on-demand learning such as Adobe Connect, Administration of learning management systems such as Cornerstone.
