Job Description

The Regional Operations Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for insuring profitable growth, exceptional service, people development, productivity, and the implementation of management systems and training throughout their assigned region, while ensuring quality and compliance.  The Regional Operations Director will work through direct reports (Account Managers & Assistant Account Managers) to develop and manage clinic level strategic performance plans to achieve the strategic objectives.  This role requires a unique ability to set the divisional vision and strategy and communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders, including senior management.  This role is senior management for the company within their assigned area and is responsible for consistently representing the company’s goals and objectives and positively promoting the brand. 

Responsibilities

•Responsible to instill company values: respect, integrity, safety, expertise, unity and positive energy throughout the region to create a professional and productive workplace.
•Manage direct reports within the region in alignment with the organization’s strategic performance plan.
•Partner with the sales and the implementation teams to ensure a smooth hand-off from sales to operations.  
•Improve clinical outcomes and physician engagement.
•Improve penetration within existing clinics and meet penetration targets for new clinics.
•Manage region(s) to achieve profitability and growth goals.  
•Develop, assess and improve relationships with Physicians and office staff to drive business.  Work with direct reports to ensure that all physicians in multi-physician clinics are engaged and receive a high level of customer service. 
•Proactively approach communication with others to minimize problems; address problems as they arise; listen to others for their points of view; take others’ perspectives into consideration; demonstrate conviction of purpose without being offensive.
•Work closely with the COO on corporate-wide projects and initiatives to further the UAS business model and operational success.
•Collaborate with other departments regarding resources, services and processes; seek creative solutions in anticipation of issues before they become major problems.
•Demonstrate the ability to work multiple objectives and respond to the complexities of organization-wide solutions.
•Achieve performance excellence by imposing high standards; lead by example; accomplish tasks on own initiative; set high standards for team.
•Track results and communicate regional results to senior management.
•Lead and develop the team to support UAS strategies and deliver exceptional, profitable growth and results.
•Recruit, retain and develop direct reports.
•Maintain and improve service levels and clinical protocols within span of control.

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, Healthcare or related field along with 7+ years of operational management experience with 5+ years in a senior supervisory/leadership position.  MBA Preferred.  Experience with multi-site operations is strongly preferred.

TRAVEL:
The Regional Operations Director will cover a multi-state area. Other locations in the Northeast region will be considered; significant travel throughout the region is required.
