Job Description

Leads a team of Clinical Allergy Technicians, Clinical Allergy Specialists (CAT/CAS), and Account Supervisors, while managing a defined group of clinics in a single state or across multiple states that offer UAS allergy services. Responsible for meeting or exceeding business, patient care, and quality assurance metrics for assigned market.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manages the day-to-day operations of assigned clinics in support of the achievement of the organization’s strategic performance plan. Responsible for managing, developing and mentoring direct reports. Sets clear direction, provides individual and team goals, consistently monitors and communicates performance against goals.
  2. Improves penetration within existing accounts and manages clinic performance to meet or exceed established operational metrics to achieve performance rewards. Maintains high service delivery within all clinics. Assists in monitoring the financial activity of assigned clinics including timely payment of invoices and collection of past due invoices.
  3. Identifies clinics under management that could benefit from process improvement engagements (LIFTs).  Conducts process improvement engagements (LIFTs) either directly or by directing Account Supervisors to ensure that the process gaps in the clinic workflow are identified and optimized.
  4. Conducts quarterly business reviews either directly or by directing the Account Supervisors with physicians and staff for all clinics under management. Manages action items resulting from business reviews to ensure timely completion.
  5. Optimizes workload for clinic personnel; balancing quality and productivity appropriately. Practices continuous learning and seeks out development assignments for direct reports. Provides individual and team goals, consistently monitors and communicates overall performance against goals. Proactively communicates issues, corrective actions, results, manages to established protocols and best practices.
  6. Collaborates with other departments regarding staffing, inventory, services and processes. Partners with Sales to build pre-implementation clinic relationships to ensure smooth implementations and build productive relationships. Attends and manages new clinic implementations. Regularly visits all clinics to develop relationships and executes regional clinic performance plan.
  7. Participates in recruiting and staffing processes of CAT/CAS’s; ensures all are trained to competently and consistently follow protocols, deliver quality service, and communicate the benefit of UAS services to physicians and clinical staff.
  8. Provides oversight on all CAT/CAS created cases and responds to escalated cases in a timely manner as required. Works to close cases to enhance CAS productivity. Looks for trends and root causes in cases and suggests process improvements.
  9. Addresses all deficiencies identified within quality audits and utilizes audits to pinpoint points of failure that may need to be addressed systemically.
  10. Attends physician orientations for new clinics; partners with Sales and Clinical Liaison team to ensure high quality implementations.
  11. Attends and actively participates in quarterly management meetings.
  12. Provides leadership to staff members, and facilitates individual and group success; Leads team in meeting corporate and group objectives in harmony with the company’s stated values and priorities.  Sets an ethical example for employees throughout the company.  Promotes company’s established best practices consistently:
    • Complies with all legal and policy requirements related to employment practices; acts as an employee advocate and fulfills the inherent responsibility of supervision by providing a pleasant work environment.
    • Ensures staff has access to information and supplies to perform at an optimum level.
    • Develops competencies, and supports training by scheduling and budgeting for ongoing programs.  Plays an active role in the ongoing development of people throughout the company.  Accountable for ensuring that a succession plan is in place.
    • Provides coaching and constructive feedback through timely appraisals and direct communication.  Establishes with staff members’ practical goals & objectives; and periodically monitors results.  Partners with HR as needed to resolve performance issues through training, counseling and/or enrichment.
    • Takes proactive measures to ensure all employees are provided a safe and healthy work environment.
  13. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or five (5) to seven (7) equivalent work experience.

 

BACKGROUND & EXPERTISE:

Three (3) years of operational or sales experience; with two (2) years in a health related environment or management related field.

 

APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of clinical environment. People management experience. Experience influencing and interacting with physicians and clinical staff.

 

COMPUTER LITERACY:

Intermediate to advanced level competence with MS office and database software.

 

TRAVEL:

50 - 75%

 

**Candidates residing in the Little Rock area are preferred, but open to candidates living outside of Little Rock.**
